Making good progress as I expected with this one. It helps knowing the whole story in and out. Just got through killing Rubicant, the fire Fiend or whatever. Pretty much consisted of Cecil hitting him a few times, healing, and hitting again. The rest of the party died pretty quick.
Also got Rydia's two special summons, Leviathan and that other one for beating the Queen. It's not one that I use very often, so I can't remember the name off the top of my head. I got lucky with those two though, again Cecil was a beast and Rose managed to stay up for constant heals. Everyone else was dead pretty quick.
I'm now getting myself ready to head into the Sealed Cave. I'm getting to unfamiliar points in the game at this point. When I was younger, I'd usually only get up to the point where I'd get Edge, then get tired of the game trying to beat Rubicant and just quit. I'm at about 20 hours in and still going strong.
I gotta say, this remake of Final Fantasy 4 is very nicely done. Basically a complete replica with 3D improvements and better translations. Makes it that much better.
Back to the grind...
