Final Fantasy 4 downed. Moving on to Final Fantasy 5! (Day 57)

Beat Final Fantasy 4 today and I'm kinda sad to see it go. I discovered that the DS version I was playing has a sort of New Game + . Unfortunately, it's an abbreviated version of it. You don't get to keep your levels or money or anything like that, but you keep your abilities. So nothing very exciting, but pretty neat.

The story n Final Fantasy 4 is awesome. I won't ruin the last battle for anyone who lives under a rock, but I'll just say it's an epic last battle. The ending scene is pretty neat, you get to revisit all the characters that are still living in the game, and they all come to Baron for the crowning of Cecil as king, good times.

After this game I've decided to add some end game statistics for all the games I beat. I've mentioned briefly in past games how much money/levels/time etc I logged on the game, but never put anything in official. I'll start putting them in the side bar from now on, starting with this one today.

As for Final Fantasy 5, gotta be honest, I'm pretty excited despite never having beat the game. This game is LONG and has a ridiculous boss count, somewhere around 120. I've come pretty close (I think) to beating it before, I've played enough to know the job system is done much better then in Final Fantasy 3 and that the storyline is 100 times better then 1, 2 or 3. Should be a good time. The version I played originally was on the PS1, part of one of the anthologies. I'm hoping the GBA version is an improvement on that as the PS1 version was poorly translated and had some slow loading between world map and menu screen that was very noticeable.
